Can I bring my family?
Yes, definitely! We have kids so have everything you will need, but to ensure the enjoyment of all we do not mix adults-only and family groups.
What about those who don’t cycle?
All guests are welcome, from hikers to holiday makers. Our non-cycling holiday prices can be found on the booking & prices page. We are a cycling holiday provider but understand that if you only get one holiday a year, you want to spend it with your family or friends whether they cycle or not. There are loads of non-cycling activities within an hour of our base including Mediterranean beaches, medieval castles, natural parks and great bars and cafés. If you would like to book for a mixture of cyclists and non-cyclists, please contact us for a personalised quote.
What level of fitness do I need?
Only one thing matters here: that you have fun on a bike. We will then do our job which is to provide you with enjoyable routes based on you telling us how you like to ride. If you are a smaller group and will be riding with others, all groups will be of similar ability. Our guests range from racers to people who are getting back into cycling on an electric bike. Whether it’s 1500m of climbing at an average of 30kmh or a cruise down the old railway line to a vineyard tour, you’ll only be riding with people looking for a similar cycling holiday. If your group is five people or more, you’ll have your own private guide and the choice to ride however you want.
What do I need to bring?
Most importantly, your bike, your kit and your normal holiday clothes. Our climate usually only needs short sleeves but bring a light jacket for when the temperature drops as we climb over 1600m. We have a well-stocked workshop for tools you might need during your stay, plus the most common consumable parts like brake pads and cables. We’re here to look after you so tried and tested kit that you like to ride in is all you really need in addition to your bike. If you forget something or run out, if we don’t have it on site we will do our best to find it for you. Our aim is to make you feel at home.
I don’t have a bike! Do you do bike hire?
We don’t provide bike hire ourselves, but can help you to arrange hire from one of our local bike hire centres. Simply inform us on booking that you require bike hire and we will ensure we have the right information to book the bike that’s right for you.
Where can we fly to?
We will collect you from the following airports: Perpignan (France, 1 hour), Carcassonne (France, 2 hours), Girona (Spain, 1.5 hours), Barcelona (Spain, 2.5 hours) that are served by lots of UK airports. We allow for a single airport collection for your group within our prices and can give you an option for multiple trips, please ask. We have custom made trailers for bike boxes and bags meaning your bike will arrive safe and sound.
Can we drive down?
Yes, it’s a 12 hour drive from the Calais ports but if you’re already in France or Spain even better. We’re 45 mins off the main motorway that runs to Barcelona.
